With
an appropriate size of the participants, emphases will be placed
on Evaluation, Inspection and Monitoring of Structural Safety.
Contributions are welcome in the following areas:
•
Failure assessment theory to include multiscale damage and multiple
damage mechanisms (e.g. thermal, corrosion, irradiation, cyclic
loading effects).
• Testing
of metallic and non-metallic materials ranging from room to high
temperature.
•
Multiscale modeling of physical system, atomistic simulation models
and applications.
•
Determination of thermal-mechanical and/or chemo-mechanical coupling
effects qualified in terms of the constitutive constants.
•
Correlation between a measured physical/derived parameter and
quantitative information on defects/stresses/microstructures.
•
Real time structured integrity assessment
•
Sensor technology: Low cost multifunctional sensors, Wireless
sensors, Mobile robotic sensors, Mobile AE sensors, Self powered
sensors
•
Long term performance and reliability of sensor systems and instrumentation
•
Smart materials and self diagnostic structures
•
Uncertainty models for large system, which include environment,
loads and materials/structure.
Topics not
covered above but fall within the general scope of this symposium
are also welcome. Abstracts and full papers should be written
in English. Early submission of full papers is advisable in order
to get the full benefit of editorial assistance.
